I've recently uploaded a couple of mp4 (360) videos recorded on a labpano pilot one ee onto gothru that google's native studio (Street View Studio) would not accept. Google claimed that the files contained GPS gaps that were longer than 5 sec. In-fact, here's the complete error message i got:
'GPS data contains gaps greater than 5 seconds in between GPS points. 5 sec gap found after 0 seconds'
after observation, i noticed that the files were deemed corrupted because i had been in deep traffic in my city, underneath traffic lights and heavy pedestrian movement, that obviously caused delays longer than 5 seconds to clear up.
-why doesnt this happen to the google car?
so i decided to find an alternative means of uploading files, and purchased gothru.
the street builder app found what gps data it could on certain files and created a path that i then used with the "autoconnect" feature to seam together
but with this one particular file where the "gap" had been found at the very beginning of footage, gothru could not detect gps data. So, I had to manually find file's location then place 'small red marker balls' (functionality found under gothru's "desktop moderator") where the corresponding frames should have been...
it all worked well, even in gothru's "preview" section it seemed right.
up until the "blue path" was uploaded unto Google street view and i saw the onslaught of duplicate frames i had to click through in order to find a new frame. in many cases 5 identical frames I had to click on in-order to found a new one without the same background (to reiterate I had to click through 5 identical frames, with the same background, before i could arrive to a new frame.)
thought i had it figured out! why does it seem ok in one area, gothru preview, but it isn't in another, google maps?
please help
